Role Description The Business Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dawson, YT, responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations across the Chief Isaac Group of Companies. This role includes managing budgets, financial performance, and reporting, as well as monitoring key operational metrics to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.

The Business

Manager will lead and support staff, foster a respectful and inclusive workplace, and build solid relationships with community members, clients, partners, and other stakeholders. Daily activities involve coordinating projects, improving processes, ensuring service standards are met,



and supporting strategic initiatives aligned with the vision, mission, and values of the organization. The role also involves collaborating with senior leadership and the shareholder to ensure transparency, accountability, and long-term business success.

Qualifications

- Experience in business management and operations, including budgeting, financial oversight, and performance reporting.
- Skills in strategic planning, project coordination, and process improvement to support sustainable and profitable growth.
- Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills, with the ability to build inclusive and collaborative work environments.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement abilities, including working respectfully with Indigenous communities and partners.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical business practices, accountability, and service excellence in client and partner interactions.
- Post-secondary education in business, commerce, management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience working in or with First Nation organizations, northern communities, or values-driven enterprises is an asset.
- Proficiency with standard office software, business systems, and reporting tools.
