We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nightshift Call Taker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming calls, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate information is relayed to the appropriate departments. This role is essential in maintaining effective communication within our organization and with our clients.
Duties
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, utilizing solid phone etiquette.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to gather necessary information.
- Utilize phone systems and software such as AS400 and SyteLine to log calls and manage data efficiently.
- Analyze call information to determine the best course of action for each inquiry or issue.
- Assist with shipping and receiving inquiries, leveraging knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and 3PL processes.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding issues.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate seamless communication and resolution of client needs.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using phone systems and computer applications.
- Strong typing skills with the ability to document conversations accurately in real-time.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to analyze information quickly and make informed decisions based on client needs.
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment is a plus.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Knowledge of Waterloo Region
- Fluent in English
