Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics, ensuring patient comfort and procedural efficiency
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict sterilization and infection control standards
- Operate dental CAD (Computer-Aided Design) equipment for restorative procedures as needed
- Manage sterilization processes by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments using state-of-the-art techniques and equipment
- Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records in systems like Epic and Dentrix
- Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation for patient charts and treatment plans
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient flow and exceptional service delivery
Experience
- Certified Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification in good standing
- Prior experience in dental assisting, particularly with orthodontics or pediatric dentistry, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix for scheduling, record keeping, and billing
- Knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control practices in a clinical setting
- Experience working with CAD technology for restorative or orthodontic procedures is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Previous experience working as a dental receptionist or in a customer service role within a healthcare environment is advantageous
