EveryMind Mental Health Services (formerly Peel Children’s Centre/Nexus Youth Services) has served the Region of Peel for over 40 years. As a not-for-profit organization, EveryMind holds a dual role as a Child and Youth Mental Health Core Service Provider and as the designated Child and Youth Mental Health Lead Agency for the Peel Service Area — one of the largest and most diverse regions in Ontario. Since 1985, EveryMind has inspired hope by leading the delivery of high-quality mental health services for infants, children, youth, young adults (up to age 25), and families across Peel.
EveryMind’s vision is children and youth resilient and thriving. This past year, the Peel community saw unprecedented growth in demand for mental health services; EveryMind was there for more than 5,500 infants, children, youth, young adults, and families, offering care, support and treatment to those struggling with mental health challenges.
THE OPPORTUNITY
EveryMind is seeking its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization into an important new chapter. The incoming CEO succeeds a long-serving leader with many years of history at EveryMind and will build on a strong foundation while delivering on the organization’s strategic plan. Reporting to the Board of Directors and leading a Senior Management Team, the CEO carries direct accountability for an organization of approximately 250 staff and an annual operating budget of approximately $28M.
The CEO is accountable for the secure, effective and efficient operation of EveryMind. This includes oversight of the organization’s financial, human resources, program, administrative, and technology resources, in alignment with the organization’s Mission, Values, and Strategic Plan, Accreditation Canada standards, and relevant legislation and contractual obligations.
ABOUT YOU
This is a role for an accomplished, values-driven executive who can lead with equal confidence in the boardroom, in the community,
and at the table with government and system partners. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including a minimum of seven years in a senior leadership role preferred, along with strong business and financial acumen, advanced emotional intelligence, and a track record of building trust and strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred, and experience within child and youth mental health, the broader children’s sector, or human services is considered a strong asset.
Experience working with a governance Board and a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, including cultural competence and an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed lens, are essential. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
EveryMind currently operates as a hybrid organization, with the CEO expected to work primarily out of the Mississauga office, with regular presence across EveryMind sites and in the community, as required.
The target hiring salary for this role is $235,000 per year plus a robust benefits package.
