In office IT Technician – Fortinet Firewall Upgrade

Duration: 2 Hours

We are looking for an experienced IT Technician to remain on standby on-site during a Fortinet firewall firmware upgrade. The technician will provide on-site technical support and be available to assist with console access, troubleshooting, and any issues that may arise during the upgrade.

Required Skills & Equipment

- Laptop with Ethernet port
- PuTTY and Zoom installed
- Ability to console into Cisco devices and share the screen
- Working Cisco console cable with USB-to-serial drivers
- Working Micro USB console cable
- SILABS USB-to-UART VCP driver installed
- Ethernet network cable tester
- Cell phone with data and camera
- Basic tools for installing/removing equipment from racks/cabinets
- Headset/earpiece highly recommended

PPE Required

- Completed JSA and understanding of site hazards
- Face mask or face shield
- Gloves
- Steel-toe boots

Important: Technician must arrive fully prepared with all required equipment, cables, drivers, tools, and PPE.
