Role- Cloud Architect

Location – Canada (Remote)

Duration: W2 Contract (Need Independent candidate on W2 only)

:

The Cloud Architect designs solutions-based management and automation of cloud provisioning tasks, administration of Managed Cloud Environments (MCEs), workflow and tools development, cloud architecture, and service administration.

The Cloud Architect should create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise workplace in Cloud

Configure and manage MLP Virtual Network in Cloud, establish our core services in the VNET, enable Cloud to serve as a part of MLP network

Design processes for the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations

Utilize native Cloud services to meet the technology and resiliency requirements

Drive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for Cloud

Lead design process for network connectivity to Cloud

Extend MLP standard systems management processes into the cloud including change, incident, and problem management

Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management

Establish internal pricing and instance selection model for Cloud virtual machines





Integrate Cloud management tooling with MLP including automation of spin-up and spin-down and billing approvals

Design and implement data protection options, including HA and BCP protection in Cloud

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Support.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience supporting enterprise caching technologies, including Redis Cloud, Valkey, or Memorystore.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience deploying and managing cloud-native services in Azure and GCP.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and caching architectures.
- Experience with cloud networking concepts, including:
- Azure Virtual Networks (VNet)
- Google Cloud VPC Networks
- Load Balancers
- DNS
- Firewall Rules
- Private Endpoints
- Hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
