Position: Cloud Architect

Location: Canada – Remote

- The Cloud Architect designs solutions-based management and automation of cloud provisioning tasks, administration of Managed Cloud Environments (MCEs), workflow and tools development, cloud architecture, and service administration.
- The Cloud Architect should create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Cloud
- Configure and manage MLP Virtual Network in Cloud, establish our core services in the VNET, enable Cloud to serve as a part of MLP network
- Design processes for the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations
- Utilize native Cloud services to meet the technology and resiliency requirements
- Drive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for Cloud
- Lead design process for network connectivity to Cloud
- Extend MLP standard systems management processes into the cloud including change, incident, and problem management
- Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management
- Establish internal pricing and instance selection model for Cloud virtual machines




- Integrate Cloud management tooling with MLP including automation of spin-up and spin-down and billing approvals
- Design and implement data protection options, including HA and BCP protection in Cloud

Required Qualifications

- Experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Support.
- Hands-on experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience supporting enterprise caching technologies, including Redis Cloud, Valkey, or Memorystore.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience deploying and managing cloud-native services in Azure and GCP.
- Robust understanding of distributed systems and caching architectures.
- Experience with cloud networking concepts, including:
- Azure Virtual Networks (VNet)
- Google Cloud VPC Networks
- Load Balancers
- DNS
- Firewall Rules
- Private Endpoints
- Hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
