Royce//Ayr Cutting Tools is a Canadian manufacturer of precision cutting tools located in Cambridge, Ontario. We produce custom and standard tooling for customers across North America. We are looking for a CNC Mill Operator to run our Haas mini mills on day shift.

The primary function of this position is re-boring saw bodies to a toleranced bore size. The role also includes manual milling work such as tapping and counter sinking.

Responsibilities

- Re-bore saw bodies to a toleranced bore size on our Haas mini mills, holding size consistently part to part
- Set up and operate Haas CNC mini mills to produce precision cutting tool components
- Perform manual milling operations including tapping, counter sinking, drilling and slotting
- Read blueprints and select material as appropriate
- Load programs, set tool and work offsets, and prove out first off parts
- Run programs and adjust offsets as needed
- Check bores and parts for accuracy using micrometers, bore gauges, calipers and optical comparators
- Deburr and finish parts, and flag any out of spec work to the supervisor
- Perform daily machine checks and routine preventative maintenance
- Keep the work area clean and organized




- Cross train in other areas to ensure efficient use of time

Qualifications
- No experience required, on the job training will be provided
- CNC machining experience and familiarity with the Haas control are an asset
- Manual milling experience is an asset
- Comfortable working to tight tolerances and measuring bores accurately
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments

- Moderate math skills
- Attention to detail, dependable attendance and a strong safety mindset
- Comfortable standing for a full shift in a manufacturing environment
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
