Registered Nurse (RN) – Community Health

We are seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for community-based roles across British Columbia . These positions focus on delivering care within home and community care and public health settings , in alignment with BCCNM standards and provincial clinical guidelines .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within a community setting
- Perform holistic health assessments and develop appropriate nursing care plans
- Deliver community-based nursing interventions , including wound care, medication administration, chronic disease management, and health education
- Support clients in home care, community clinics, and outreach environments
- Promote health maintenance, disease prevention, and client independence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Identify and escalate changes in client condition on time
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in EMR systems as per clinical protocols
- Provide care that is culturally safe, trauma-informed, and patient-centred , including working with Indigenous and rural communities
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN)
license with BCCNM or eligibility for registration
- Minimum 1 year of recent community health or related nursing experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Completion of RAI‑HC (Resident Assessment Instrument – Home Care) Prefered
- Completion of BCCDC Immunization Courses (as per unit-specific requirements)
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in community and rural settings
- Experience with EMR systems such as PARIS, Meditech, or Cerner is considered an asset
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $50 – $62 (based on experience and assignment location)
- Overtime and statutory holiday pay in accordance with BC employment standards
- Travel Time Pay
- Coverage of Travel and Accommodation.
