Community Partnerships & Development Officer
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Prince George, BC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours per week: 35 hours, Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
About the Foundation The Prince George Community Foundation (PGCF) is a philanthropic organization that manages endowed funds and assists donors in directing charitable resources toward projects and initiatives that respond to community needs and opportunities. Founded in 1995, PGCF brings together people, organizations and resources to strengthen Prince George and communities throughout Northern BC.
Position Overview The Community Partnerships & Development Officer is responsible for advancing PGCF's fund development, donor and fundholder stewardship, sponsorships and community partnerships. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will help build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors, fundholders, businesses, professional advisors and community partners, while supporting the growth of the Foundation's funds and community impact.

Key Responsibilities
· Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, PGCF's marketing and communications provider and other team members on organizational priorities, events and special initiatives.
· Maintain accurate donor, prospect, fundholder and partnership information and provide appropriate development reporting and follow-up.
· Represent PGCF at community meetings, presentations, networking opportunities, donor gatherings and events.
· Identify and develop strategic community partnerships and collaborative initiatives that advance PGCF's mission and community impact.
· Develop and maintain meaningful donor and fundholder stewardship, including regular communication, recognition, updates and engagement opportunities.
· Support the development of new funds and giving opportunities, including annual giving, major gifts, legacy/estate giving, sponsorships and special initiatives.
Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in fundraising, business, communications, nonprofit management, community development or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in fund development, donor relations, sponsorship, business development, community partnerships or the charitable/nonprofit sector.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with donors, community partners, businesses and a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional correspondence, proposals and presentations.
- Strong organizational, planning and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A high level of initiative and demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
- Discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential donor and organizational information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with databases, CRM systems and other digital tools.
- Knowledge of fundraising, donor stewardship, planned giving or community foundation work is an asset.
Other This position may require occasional attendance at community events or meetings outside regular office hours. Other duties may be assigned as organizational needs evolve.
