Domtar, a leader in the pulp, paper, and wood products industry, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel (Conseiller.ière juridique principale) specializing in business law. This permanent, full time role supports the Wood Products Business Unit and the Paper Excellence group, providing legal guidance on commercial operations, contracts, and compliance.

Key Eligibility Criteria

- Degree from a recognized law faculty.
- Active member of the Barreau du Québec.




- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Bilingual proficiency (French and English) is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the forestry, natural resources, or international trade sectors is considered an asset.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

- Draft, negotiate, and review procurement and sales agreements.
- Manage litigation files with the support of external counsel.
- Provide legal support for major group projects, including restructurings, plant projects, and M&A.;
- Advise on compliance and internal policies.
