· Blundon’s Trucking & Excavating Ltd. is seeking an experienced Construction Field Coordinator to join our team at the Valentine Gold Mine.

· Rotational shift (14x7) with camp accommodations provided.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control: Monitor excavation, grading, backfilling, compaction, and drainage activities to ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Documentation: Maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), track testing and inspection results, and prepare accurate daily field reports.

Field Coordination: Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories, geotechnical consultants, surveyors, and construction supervisors to ensure project requirements are met.

Technical Support: Review civil and structural drawings, interpret project specifications, assist with technical issues, and support the preparation and response to Requests for Information (RFIs).

Safety Compliance: Promote and maintain safe work practices, identify and report site hazards and near-misses, and support the company’s overall safety program.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Geology, or engineering degree / engineering technology diploma.

Experience:



3–5 years of experience in field engineering, civil earthworks, construction, or construction quality control.

Technical Skills: Solid ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings, understand survey data, and apply materials testing and quality-control procedures.

Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Work Environment: Comfortable working outdoors in challenging weather conditions.

Logistics: Valid driver’s license and willingness to work a rotational remote camp schedule on a 14 days on and 7 days off rotation.

Pre-Employment Requirements: Successful candidates must provide a current drivers abstract, criminal record check and successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment drug/alcohol test.
