Construction Safety Officer Delta/Richmond, BC | Long-Term Construction Project Are you passionate about creating a safe work environment while staying hands-on in the field? We're looking for a Construction Safety Officer to join a major civil construction project in the Delta/Richmond area. What You'll Be Doing

Champion and enforce site safety policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure ongoing compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety standards. Complete and maintain safety reports, inspections, documentation, and records using computer-based systems.

Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments to identify and address potential risks. Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions. Deliver safety orientations for new workers and ensure site safety expectations are understood.

Assist with pre-employment safety testing and compliance requirements. Communicate safety concerns and recommendations effectively with workers, supervisors, and management. Support site operations through general labour duties, including moving pumps and assisting crews as required.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction safety position such as a Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA3) attendant. Experience working on active civil construction, excavation, or earthworks projects . Valid Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA3) certification. Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations and their practical application on construction sites. Comfortable using computers for reporting, documentation, and record management.

Ability and willingness to perform physical labour when required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Reliable transportation to and from the project site.

Assets That Will Help You Stand

Out Construction Safety Officer (CSO) certification or related experience.

Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or long-term construction projects. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Adaptability in a fast-paced construction environment.
