Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Content Designer to create explicit, user-centered content for digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about simplifying complex information and designing intuitive content that helps users confidently complete important tasks.
Working within a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you'll partner with product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver content that is accessible, consistent, and aligned with user needs and regulatory requirements.

Compensation: T4 : $48-$50 | IC: $55-$60 PER HOUR
Working model: Hybrid, Downtown, Toronto
6 months contract
Key Responsibilities
- Design clear, concise, and user-focused content across web and mobile digital experiences.
- Translate complex concepts into simple, actionable language that improves usability and customer understanding.
- Make thoughtful content decisions in ambiguous or highly regulated environments.
- Develop content as part of a scalable design system, ensuring consistency across user journeys, features, and channels.
- Contribute to voice, tone, and content standards across digital products.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers, Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support enhancements to digital experiences, workflows, and customer-facing features.
- Ensure all content meets accessibility (WCAG) and plain language best practices.
- Validate content through usability testing, research findings,
and iterative improvements.
- Contribute to content governance, documentation, workflows, and team best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or a related discipline.
- Experience creating content for complex digital products or regulated industries (financial services experience is considered an asset).
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex workflows and user experiences.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards, and content strategy.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working within Agile product development teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing content for digital financial products or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience supporting transactional, onboarding, or self-service digital experiences.
- Background in content systems, taxonomy, governance, or design systems.
- Familiarity with analytics, user research, and content performance measurement.
- Experience using Figma or other collaborative design tools.
