Services span standard NFPA 13 systems, clean agent systems, water spray systems, fire pumps, fire hydrants, and thorough inspection programs at various intervals. The team is focused on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance for diverse industrial and commercial clients.

Role Description The Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Rotaflow Fire Systems. This role includes managing general ledger activities, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. The Controller monitors project costs, analyzes variances, and supports decision-making for engineering, installation, and maintenance projects.

Daily responsibilities involve supervising accounts payable and receivable, payroll processes, and tax and regulatory compliance, while maintaining robust internal controls and accounting policies.



The Controller collaborates closely with leadership and project teams to provide financial insights, improve efficiency, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Candidates should possess skills in cost accounting and project financial management, including job costing, variance analysis, and support for project profitability and pricing decisions.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of tax, regulatory, and compliance requirements, along with experience maintaining internal controls, policies, and audit readiness.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting and ERP software, advanced spreadsheet skills, and the ability to analyze and present financial data clearly to stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess robust organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead a small finance staff.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional designations (e.g., CPA or equivalent) are preferred.
- Experience in construction, engineering, industrial services, or fire protection industries, and familiarity with project-based accounting, is an asset.
