YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Work as directed on the station of assignment under the appropriate supervisor.
- Set up station properly and on time for each service period.
- Ensure all food is prepared by recipes designated by the supervisor.
- Make sure of food quality and quantity.
- Make sure food is sent to the correct area on time.
- Notify the supervisor of any problems or complaints when they arise.
- Be able to work in another area when needed and take part in cross-training when directed.
- Be able to assist in same-day prep and advance prep for another station as instructed by the supervisor.
- Follow the “clean as you go” policy and keep the work area clean at all times.
- All food items for storage must be covered with cling film, dated, labeled, and initialed by the person who made it or used it.
- After service, turn off and clean equipment work areas and reach-in boxes.
- Fill requests made by your supervisor and other management including stooping, bending and lifting weights up to and including 30 pounds will normally be required.
- Make sure production charts are closely followed and adhered to.
- Fill out the appropriate cleaning charts on a daily basis.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain high standards of appearance,
good personal hygiene and health and safety standards.
- Understand and ensure safe operation and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
- Practice professional work habits.
- Develop positive working relationships with other departments and associates.
- Be aware of accident prevention and help enforce safe work conditions. Report all accidents.
- Follow all kitchen regulations as outlined and directed.
- Attend all weekly departmental meetings.
- Other reasonable duties as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- Graduate or attending a culinary program at a community college.
- Minimum of 1-3 years culinary experience within the industry.
Complexity/Analysis:
- Strong communication skills.
- Working knowledge of large volume kitchen is an asset.
- Passionate about cooking.
- Strong team player.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $23.88-$26.53 per hour
