Must Haves
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, AI Engineering, or a related field.
- Expert-level experience with Snowflake dimensional and semantic modeling , including metric definitions, data grain, fact/dimension design, joins, and building data models that support analytics and AI use cases.
- Strong understanding of business metrics and how to translate complex data into trusted, reusable semantic models.
- Advanced Python development experience, including building, maintaining, and deploying backend services and APIs.
- Experience building and maintaining Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers , including development of tool schemas, integrations, and governance of available tools.
- Hands-on experience with LLM tool-calling frameworks and AI application development.
- Experience developing and supporting text-to-SQL solutions , including prompt design, tool orchestration, query generation, and validation strategies.
- Strong understanding of how to test, evaluate, and improve LLM accuracy, including hallucination reduction, SQL validation, and output quality monitoring.
- Experience designing and developing end-to-end data solutions within Snowflake and Python-based ecosystems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with business stakeholders, data teams, and AI initiatives as a subject matter expert.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with PySpark and large-scale distributed data processing.
- Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
- Experience developing AI agents or agentic AI workflows.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing analytics and data platforms.
- Familiarity with modern data ecosystem tools such as dbt, Apache Iceberg, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience using Jupyter notebooks or AI development environments.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Financial services or banking industry experience.
We are seeking a Data AI Engineer to help build the foundation for next-generation analytics and AI solutions. This role will focus heavily on designing and managing robust semantic data models within Snowflake, ensuring business metrics, relationships, and data structures are accurately defined and trusted across the organization.
In addition to robust data modeling expertise, the ideal candidate will have experience building AI-enabled applications using Python, MCP servers, and large language model (LLM) frameworks. You will help develop and maintain tool schemas, support text-to-SQL capabilities, and improve the reliability and accuracy of AI-driven workflows. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between data engineering and AI engineering, enabling business users to interact with complex data through intelligent, scalable solutions.
