About The Role
Fed IT is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on analyzing business operations and accounting metrics to support strategic decision-making processes. Your primary responsibility will be to translate complex datasets into clear, visual stories that highlight key performance indicators and operational insights.
You will collaborate closely with the operations and accounting teams to understand their data requirements and develop dashboards and reports that monitor company performance effectively. This position is vital for tracking financial health, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing operational workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights that drive business growth.
Qualifications
Education
- A degree in a quantitative field such as Business Analytics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science,
or a related discipline is required.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with Python data stack, including Pandas, Polars, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
- Advanced skills in data visualization and reporting tools, especially Tableau, QuickSight, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of data quality best practices and data integrity principles.
Soft Skills
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical eye for data accuracy, quality, and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Work Authorization
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Language Requirements
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
- French language skills are considered an asset and will be advantageous in our bilingual environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the operations and accounting teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven recommendations to improve business processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) reports and dashboards using Tableau or similar tools to monitor financial and operational performance.
- Collect,
preprocess, and analyze operational data from diverse sources to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process optimization avenues.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across financial and operational systems by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
- Analyze operational bottlenecks, supply chain costs, and fulfillment patterns to generate actionable insights for business improvements.
- Assist in the development of data models and automate reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated with the latest data analysis tools and techniques to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
