One of our clients is looking for an experienced Data Engineer – Canada (Remote) for a contract opportunity.

Required Skills

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, designing and developing scalable data solutions.
- Strong expertise in Databricks and Azure Data Services.
- Solid proficiency in PySpark for large-scale data processing and transformation.
- Strong programming experience with Python.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, optimization, data transformation, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Experience working with Azure-based data platforms and services.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, data integration, and distributed data processing.
- Experience with Databricks Notebooks, Jobs/Workflows, Delta Lake, and Spark-based data processing is highly preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize data pipelines and Spark jobs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
