Position Name – Data Engineer / Developer – Python & SQL

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement new ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs using Python and/or Apache Spark to support various data initiatives.
- Migrate existing ETL processes from SSIS and SQL Server to modern data platforms while ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
- Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines and ETL processes for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and implement robust testing strategies for ETL jobs to ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
- Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate actively in an Agile development environment, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Communicate effectively with users, stakeholders, and team members to gather requirements,



provide project updates, and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.
- Develop efficient data-processing solutions using Python and/or Apache Spark.
- Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures, and optimize database performance as required.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong proficiency in Python and/or Apache Spark for data processing and ETL development.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and database performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines.
- Experience with SSIS and SQL Server and migration to modern data platforms.
- Robust understanding of data quality, testing, and validation.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
