Delivery Driver

Backcountry Brewing opened its doors April of 2017 in the community of Squamish and has worked hard to brew delicious beers ever since. We brew beer that we want to drink and share with old and new friends. Backcountry Brewing strives to create a culture that is fun, supportive, and encourages growth. : Backcountry Brewing is currently seeking a responsible Delivery Driver to deliver beer to our retail and licensee accounts in a qualified manner. This is a full-time, hourly position for a 1 year contract, with potential for permanent employment

Reports to: Director of Sales and Sales Coordinator

Works closely with: Director of Sales, Sales Coordinator, Sales Representatives, and Lead Delivery Driver

Hours: Monday to Thursday, hours each day will vary but will be around 9 to 10 hours a day. There is an averaging agreement and overtime is paid over 10 hours a day.

Compensation:

- $21 / hour
- Benefits after 3 months
- Access to games locker (paddle boards, camping equipment, and more)
- $50 monthly gift card to tasting room
- $150 for steel toe boots

Skills & Certifications:

- Forklift License and operation experience (can provide training for the right candidate)
- A clean driver’s abstract
- Able to lift and manipulate up to 160lbs




- Previous brewery experience an asset
- Can successfully work in a fast- paced environment with a sense of urgency
- Be reliable, have a excellent attitude, and provide exceptional customer service
- Familiar and confident driving on the highway and throughout the Lower Mainland

Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Be on time and prompt for scheduled daily shifts.
- Check correspondence for updates.
- Gather invoices and picklist from Order Desk.
- Follow planned route to each account and load delivery vehicle.
- Pre-trip inspections and load securing.
- Ensure invoices are signed by the account and all product on the invoice is delivered.
- When delivering to accounts and dealing with customers, always be courteous, polite, and respectful.
- Keep delivery vehicle, tidy, clean, and presentable.
