We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be the vital link between our company and our customers, ensuring timely and safe delivery of bread, buns and goodies. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us maintain excellent service standards while navigating various routes and handling product.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Deliver freight efficiently to multiple locations, ensuring accuracy in delivery and proper handling of goods.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain optimal safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Assist with freight handling, including operating heavy equipment like forklifts or other machinery as required.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance logs, and freight documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshoot vehicle issues when needed.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift heavy items
- Prior experience in delivery services is highly desirable.
