Delivery Driver – Steel Fabrication (G Licence)

About the Role

United Specialty Metals is a structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication shop in Whitby looking for a reliable delivery driver to get fabricated steel from our shop to job sites across the GTA and surrounding area. This isn't a drop-and-go driving job — you'll be loading your own truck at the shop and unloading at sites when required, so hands-on equipment experience is a must.

What You'll Do

- Deliver fabricated steel and materials to active construction sites
- Load your own truck at the shop using a forklift
- Unload at job sites when required
- Secure and tarp loads properly on a flatbed truck and trailer
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections and keep the truck clean and road-ready
- Handle delivery paperwork and confirm receipt with site contacts
- Pitch in around the shop between runs

What You'll Need
- Valid Ontario G licence (no AZ/DZ required — no air brakes on our equipment)




- Clean driving record — a current driver's abstract will be required
- Experience operating a forklift
- Experience hauling with a flatbed and towing a trailer, including proper load securement (chains, straps, binders)
- Comfortable navigating construction sites and working around site crews
- Flexibility on hours — start and end times vary with delivery schedules
- Physically capable of assisting with loading/unloading steel
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Schedule & Pay
- Monday to Friday
- 8–10 hour days
- $28.00 per hour
- Overtime as per Ontario ESA (after 44 hours/week)
