In this multifaceted position, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/out processes using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Verify patient information, update records, and handle billing and insurance claims accurately.
- Maintain sterilization protocols by preparing and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Assist with clinical procedures by passing instruments, taking digital impressions, or supporting orthodontic or pediatric treatments as needed.
- Manage incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries,
and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.
- Keep the treatment area organized, stock supplies, and ensure all sterilization equipment is functioning properly.
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and appointment reminders.
Requirements
- Previous experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental assisting procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control standards in a dental setting.
- Experience working with orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to learn CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools for digital impressions or orthodontic planning is advantageous.
