Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist to join our team. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional care to our patients. You will work closely with our team of dental professionals to ensure each patient receives personalized treatment, education, and preventive care to maintain healthy smiles.

Dental Hygiene Responsibilities:

● Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments to evaluate each patient's dental condition, including examining teeth, gums, and overall oral hygiene.

● Perform qualified dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains, contributing to improved oral health.

● Take dental radiographs and interpret diagnostic images to aid in identifying dental issues and providing appropriate treatment recommendations.

● Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition, to empower them to maintain optimal oral health between visits.

● Administer non-surgical periodontal treatments, such as root planing and scaling, to address gum disease and promote gum health.

● Collaborate with the dentists and other dental professionals in the delivery of patient care, assisting with procedures as needed.

● Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant information to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.

● Adhere to strict infection control protocols, sterilisation processes, and safety standards to maintain a clean and secure environment for patients and staff.

● Recommend and apply preventive treatments, such as fluoride applications and dental sealants,



to reduce the risk of dental caries and other oral health issues.

● Communicate with patients in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their concerns, answering questions, and providing a positive dental experience.

● Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.

Dental Hygiene Requirements:

● Possess a valid dental hygiene license

● Graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program and holds a diploma or degree in dental hygiene.

● Demonstrated proficiency in performing dental cleanings, taking X-rays, and conducting oral health assessments.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages and make them feel comfortable during dental procedures.

● Ability to work collaboratively with a team of dental professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

● Show empathy and understanding towards patients, addressing their individual needs and concerns.

● Robust attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and providing treatment.

● Knowledge and commitment to adhering to dental hygiene best practices, infection control, and safety standards.

Schedule

Monday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; 8-hour shifts with flexibility required

Experience:

● Dental Hygiene: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: $39.00-$49.00 per hour
