The jumbo operator is part of the mine operations team. He/she ensures the advancement of the galleries.
Essential Duties
- Load blast holes and fire shots
- Drill the blast holes according to the plans and specifications
- Clean up his/her workplace and perform basic maintenance of equipment
- Participate in the deployment of water, air and ventilation utilities
- Ensure compliance with the health and safety rules regarding the position
- Perform his/her tasks according to the Company's standards
Training & Experience
- Skilled Studies Diploma in ore extraction
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
- Mining modules 1 to 5 and 7
- Valid general explosives permit
- Valid driver's license
- Bilingualism (asset)
- Be accredited by the trainer on our various service equipment.
Working Conditions
- Eleonore mine site (fly-in, fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
- Schedule: 14 working days followed by 14 days off
