About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead (TL) to join our team, focusing on designing, building, and managing scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and automation to facilitate reliable and efficient application delivery. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations to ensure seamless deployment processes.
The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring system performance to optimize operational efficiency and security. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, performance tuning, and cost management within cloud environments, ensuring that infrastructure aligns with best practices for security and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution (or three years of progressive experience in the field in lieu of education)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
- Willingness to relocate to Mississauga, Ontario, or be within commuting distance; willingness to travel as required
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without employer-sponsored visa sponsorship
- Proficiency in designing and managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS)
- Robust scripting skills in Python and Bash
- Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Understanding of networking, security, and Linux systems
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure to support enterprise applications
- Build, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and deployment
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Automate build, release, and operational workflows to enhance deployment efficiency
- Monitor system performance, availability, and costs, implementing optimizations as needed
- Ensure cloud security, compliance, and access controls through IAM, KMS, and other security best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless application releases
- Maintain knowledge of latest cloud and DevOps trends, recommending improvements and innovations
- Perform regular security assessments and ensure adherence to organizational policies
