Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and hospitality-focused individuals to create a warm, wselcoming and relationship driven dining experience. This role plays and essential part in enhancing the daily lives of Elders by ensuring an enjoyable meal experience while maintaiing a safe, clean and organized environment.
The ideal candidate brings a heart for service, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to supporting elders in a home-like setting.
Responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Set tables and prepare dining spaces to create a relaxed, inviting and home-like atmosphere
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the different food textures that may be required by elders
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness through regular cleaning and sanitation while ensuring kitchesn are well stocked and organized
- Serve meals with kindness and professionalism
- Collaborate with staff to deliver excellent food service
- Manage time efficiently to meet meal schedules
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in hosptiality, food sevie or senior living (preferred)
- Food Secure Certification
- Clear understanding of the different food textures and modified diets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to be a team player
- Compassionate, patient and relationsip-focused approach
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate to heavy physical tasks
Job Type: Casual Pay: $25.82 per hour
