PharmaCorp is a Canadian pharmacy acquisition and ownership platform focused on empowering pharmacists as equity partners and supporting succession for retiring pharmacy owners. Through a combination of capital, strategic support, and operational expertise, PharmaCorp is building a national network of community pharmacies under the PharmaChoice Canada banner. PharmaCorp currently operates 16 PharmaChoice Canada-bannered pharmacies and will continue to acquire both PharmaChoice Canada-bannered pharmacies and independent pharmacies across Canada, rebranding non-bannered locations under the PharmaChoice Canada platform in accordance with its strategic alliance with PharmaChoice Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the President and COO, the Director of Operations is responsible for leading the successful integration, transition, and go-forward operational success of pharmacy locations within the organization’s operating model. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership throughout the pre-acquisition, closing, post-acquisition, and ongoing store optimization phases, with a focus on maintaining continuity of patient care, stabilizing pharmacy operations, strengthening store performance, and developing strategies that unlock value creation across the store network. The Director of Operations works closely with PharmaCorp and PCC support teams, senior leadership, pharmacy teams, Human Resources, finance, compliance, and other corporate functions to provide leadership to stores, align systems and processes, and ensure each pharmacy is positioned for sustainable growth and consistent execution.

Acquisition Integration Planning

- Support operational due diligence and lead transition planning for newly acquired pharmacies, including workflows, staffing models, systems, service delivery, and compliance requirements.




- Develop detailed integration plans that align acquired pharmacy operations with organizational standards, timelines, and strategic priorities.
- Partner with senior leadership, pharmacy owners, managers, corporate teams, and external advisors to support a smooth acquisition-to-transition process.
- Develop store-focused strategies in partnership with PharmaCorp and PCC support teams to identify opportunities, improve execution, and unlock value creation across the pharmacy network.

Pharmacy Transition and Operational Stabilization

- Oversee the transition of acquired pharmacies into the organization’s operating structure, ensuring continuity of patient service, prescription workflow, inventory management, and day-to-day operations.
- Identify and resolve transition risks, service disruptions, and operational gaps during the pre-close, close, and post-close phases.
- Establish post-acquisition priorities, milestones, and accountability measures to support timely stabilization and consistent execution across locations.
- Provide go-forward leadership to store teams after integration, working closely with PharmaCorp and PCC support teams to advance store-level priorities, improve operating practices, and support sustained performance.

Systems, Processes, and Change Management

- Coordinate implementation or alignment of pharmacy systems, reporting tools, point-of-sale processes, workflow standards, and operational procedures following acquisition.
- Lead change management activities to help acquired pharmacy teams understand new processes, expectations, communication channels, and support resources.
- Document transition lessons learned and recommended process improvements for future pharmacy acquisitions.

People Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

- Support acquired pharmacy teams through transition by building trust, maintaining clear communication, and partnering with Human Resources on onboarding, role alignment, workforce planning, and employee engagement.




- Coach pharmacy managers and operational leaders through integration expectations, performance standards, and change-related challenges.
- Act as a key liaison between acquired locations and corporate departments, including Human Resources, finance, compliance, pharmacy operations, information technology, and marketing.

Compliance, Financial Performance, and Risk Management

- Ensure acquired pharmacies operate in accordance with applicable pharmacy regulations, privacy requirements, internal policies, health and safety standards, and quality expectations throughout the transition.
- Monitor acquisition-related budgets, transition costs, labour requirements, inventory considerations, and key performance indicators.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on integration progress, risks, financial impacts, operational performance, and recommended corrective actions.

Skills and Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in business administration, operations management, public administration, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Progressive leadership experience in operations management, including experience leading teams, managers, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience developing operational plans, improving processes, and using data to guide decisions.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and performance reporting.
- Experience with policy development, compliance, risk management, and quality improvement practices.
- Proficiency with common business systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications

Working conditions

This role is generally performed in an office or hybrid work workplace and will require regular scheduled store visits, attendance at meetings or events, and flexibility to respond to operational priorities outside regular business hours.
