This role is accountable for optimizing cost-to-serve, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering reliable service performance while leading teams and managing carrier and fleet operations. Lead regional transportation strategy execution to optimize cost, service, and operational performance Oversee fleet operations and third-party carrier relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management Partner with Distribution Operations, Customer Service, Finance, HR, Legal, and Quality to drive aligned outcomes Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies Own and manage the regional transportation budget, identifying opportunities to improve cost-to-serve and financial performance Drive implementation of national transportation initiatives and ensure alignment with customer delivery expectations Establish and monitor KPIs related to cost, service, and network performance Lead and develop a team of managers and individual contributors, fostering a high-performance, engaged culture Act as an escalation point for complex operational issues impacting service, cost, or delivery performance Travel up to 20% Bachelor’s degree in Business,
Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field ~10+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution, including leadership experience ~ Proven experience managing transportation operations, carriers, and cost-to-serve performance ~ Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiency ~ Post-graduate certification (e.g., pharmaceutical distribution) Direct-to-store delivery (DSD) or last-mile transportation experience Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and routing optimization tools Experience in fleet management and carrier sourcing Bilingual (English/French) an asset. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets.
In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
