About Ela Greek Taverna
Ela Greek Taverna is an established, locally owned restaurant serving authentic Greek cuisine in Halifax for more than 20 years.
We are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Helper to join our team at our Bayers Lake location.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for steady restaurant work in a friendly, professional environment. Previous restaurant experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right person.
Responsibilities
As part of our kitchen team, your responsibilities will include:
- Washing dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and organized
- Emptying garbage and recycling as required
- Maintaining clean floors and work areas
- Assisting with general kitchen cleaning
- Helping with basic kitchen duties and food preparation when required
- Working with the kitchen team to keep things running smoothly during busy periods
- Following food safety, sanitation and workplace safety procedures

Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is an asset but not required.
Compensation
Starting wage: $17.00 per hour A higher starting wage may be offered to applicants with appropriate restaurant or kitchen experience.
