Position Overview
We’re hiring a skilled Drywall Taper/Finisher who knows what a perfect wall should look like. If you can turn a taped joint into a flawless Level 5 surface, work efficiently without cutting corners, and take pride in leaving a site clean and ready for paint — you’re exactly who we want on our team.
Both employment and subcontracting arrangements are available.
Subcontractors must carry valid WCB coverage and General Liability Insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply drywall tape, compound, and finishes to achieve Level 5 quality
- Perform detailed hand and machine taping, coating, and sanding
- Repair imperfections and ensure uniform, smooth finishes
- Prepare surfaces for primer, paint, or texture applications
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Collaborate effectively with project supervisors and other trades
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in drywall taping and finishing
- Strong Level 5 finishing and sanding skills required
- Proficient with drywall products, compounds, and finishing tools
- Reliable, punctual, and quality-driven
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (Please note: work is performed on various job sites throughout Calgary, and public transportation is not suitable for this position.)
- Must have basic hand tools required for taping and finishing work
- (For subcontractors) Proof of WCB coverage and general liability insurance required
