Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Taper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will help transform raw construction spaces into polished environments, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

- Apply joint compound (mud) to drywall seams, corners, and fasteners using taping knives and trowels to achieve a flawless finish
- Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishing work
- Install drywall panels accurately according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, screw guns, and saws to cut, shape, and secure drywall materials
- Repair or patch damaged drywall surfaces during restoration projects or renovations
- Follow safety protocols when operating heavy equipment or working with scaffolding and ladders
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, electricians,



and other trades to ensure seamless project progression
- Assist with other construction tasks like caulking, insulation installation, or minor framing as needed

Experience

- Proven experience in drywall finishing or taping on commercial or residential construction sites
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate installation
- Skilled in using hand tools such as taping knives, sanders, and utility knives
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and sanding equipment
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles and project timelines is a plus
- Background in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, or flooring installation is advantageous
- Ability to work safely with heavy equipment operation when required for larger projects
- Prior involvement in restoration work or concrete finishing enhances your versatility in the field
