Position: E-commerce Specialist The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and commercializing high-potential products for the North American market, primarily Canada. This role manages the end-to-end product lifecycle—from market research and supplier negotiation to e-commerce platform execution and performance optimization. By leveraging digital marketplaces and data-driven insights, the Specialist ensures strong product–market fit, scalable growth, and profitable online sales.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of e-commerce platforms, including product listings, pricing, promotions, inventory coordination, and content updates.
- Launch, test, promote, and scale products through e-commerce platforms to drive sales growth and optimize conversion rates.
- Ensure product pages are accurate, compliant, conversion-focused, and aligned with brand standards.
- Support order processing and fulfillment coordination to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify products aligned with Canadian and North American consumer demand.
- Support product onboarding from sourcing through go-to-market execution.
- Identify and manage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, timelines, and trade terms to support profitability and supply reliability.
- Coordinate with suppliers on product specifications, packaging, and labelling requirements.
- Ensure products meet applicable Canadian regulatory, safety, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate compliance-related documentation as required for import and sale.
- Create and manage product images, graphics, and multimedia content while maintaining brand integrity.
- Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma,
and video editing software to support e-commerce and marketing needs.
- Monitor sales performance, customer behavior, and traffic data to generate insights and refine commercial strategies.
- Use performance data to inform future product selection, pricing, and promotional decisions.
- Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues as needed.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and global suppliers to ensure efficient execution across sourcing, marketing, and operations.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, E-Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in e-commerce, product commercialization, or cross-border trade.
- Experience managing e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, or similar).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, and video editing tools.
- Understanding of UX/UI fundamentals, CMS platforms, and basic website development.
- Practical knowledge of packaging design, logistics, and product lifecycle management.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with international suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (written and verbal).
