Educational Assistant

Location: Hunting Hills High School

32.5 hours weekly

Commencing as soon as a suitable candidate is found, until June 30, 2027

Hunting Hills High School is seeking a caring, team-oriented, and student-focused Educational Assistant to support students with diverse learning and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers and school staff to provide individualized support, promote student independence and success, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. Strong communication, patience, flexibility, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Desirable qualifications and attributes:

- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent education is an asset
- Comfortable with both specialized and inclusive programs
- Experience or training in supporting children with diverse and complex needs or behaviours is preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to creating a positive learning environment
- Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable assisting students with personal care needs, including toileting and lifting as required
