Job Summary The Greater Essex County District School Board is home to over 36,000 students in Southern Ontario with 4,700 staff member while operating and maintaining 53 elementary school and 14 secondary schools in 9 municipalities. We also operate alternative and continuing education programs for the community. We serve a diverse community and are committed to welcoming all into our schools.

Nature & Scope Of Position

Qualifications

- Applicants must hold full qualification by the date listed in the application package - September 2027.
- Applications for Vice-Principal must have successfully completed Part 1 of the Principals Qualification Program.
- Applications for Principal must have successfully completed Part 1 and Part 2 of the Principals Qualification Program. Candidates for Principal must have a completed Principal Performance Appraisal (PPA) in their role as a Vice-Principal at the time of application.
- Applicants applying to the elementary panel must have successfully completed Special Education Part 1 or Special Education for Administrators by the date listed in the application package September 2027.
- Principal candidates must have three years experience as a Vice-Principal at the time of application.

An Application Package Should Include

- Cover letter
- Resume (two to three pages)
- Statement of Leadership including Lived Experiences of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion based on the Ontario Leadership Framework
- Principal Performance Appraisal (Principal Candidates)
- Teacher Performance Appraisal (Vice-Principal Candidates)




- A copy of the Ontario College of Teacher Performance Appraisal
- Two current references. one of whom should be their immediate supervisor, with full contact details
