Role Description This full-time, on-site Embedded Software Engineer role is based in Montreal, QC.

The Embedded Software

Engineer will design, implement, and test embedded software for electric drive systems, including control algorithms for motors, inverters, and related components. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing software modules, debugging and resolving issues, optimizing performance, and collaborating with hardware, systems, and test engineering teams. The role also involves participating in code reviews, maintaining documentation,



supporting integration and validation activities, and contributing to continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Embedded Software Programming and hands-on experience with Embedded Software for real-time control systems.
- Proficiency in Software Development practices, including coding standards, version control, and testing frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability in Debugging embedded systems using tools such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Experience in Software Design, including architecture definition, modular design, and documentation of embedded applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with C/C++ for embedded systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C) is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of motor control, power electronics, or automotive-grade safety and quality standards (such as ISO 26262, ASPICE) is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly, and adapt to a rapid-paced product development environment.
