Energy Modeler / Mechanical Designer — Design What You Model

Ever get tired of building energy models just to toss them over the fence, never knowing if the actual design works?

At our firm, we don't treat energy modeling as a checkbox exercise—we use it to drive real engineering decisions. We’re looking for a sharp Energy Modeler / Mechanical Designer with 1 to 2 years of experience and solid Revit skills who wants to bridge the gap between energy performance and physical HVAC design.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Model & Design: Perform building energy simulations (EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, IES-VE, or eQUEST) and translate those performance insights directly into mechanical HVAC and plumbing design drawings.
- Revit Modeling: Create precise 3D Revit models for commercial, institutional, and residential projects, keeping energy efficiency at the core of the spatial layout.
- Code & Standards: Support building code compliance (NECB, ASHRAE 90.1) and green building certifications (LEED, Zero Carbon).
- Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work directly with senior engineers, architects, and contractors to optimize building envelopes, equipment sizing,



and mechanical systems.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience: 1–2 years in building energy modeling or mechanical HVAC drafting/design.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Revit and at least one core energy modeling software suite (OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, IES-VE, eQUEST, or similar).
- Mindset: Curiosity about how buildings actually perform, a practical engineering mindset, and an desire to own projects end-to-end.
