Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements. Your expertise will help guide project bids, support project management team, and ensure competitive pricing that aligns with company standards.

Responsibilities

- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms.
- Analyze project scope changes and update estimates accordingly to maintain accuracy throughout the bidding process.
- Prepare and present bid packages that clearly outline costs, assumptions, and exclusions.
- Assist in risk assessment by identifying potential cost overruns or schedule impacts early in the planning phase.




- Support project management team during project execution by providing cost control insights and updates.

Experience

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for digital markup and document management.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to secure competitive pricing.
- Solid background in project management principles within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate estimates and negotiate effectively.
