Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Cleaner to help maintain clean, safe and welcoming child care environments.

The cleaner will work Monday to Friday from 4:30–7:00 PM, cleaning two of our child care centre locations each evening. The shift will begin at one centre, and once the required cleaning is completed, the cleaner will travel to the second centre to complete the remainder of the shift.

Key Responsibilities

Daily cleaning duties will include:

- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, counters and fixtures
- Emptying garbage and recycling and taking it to designated disposal areas
- Sweeping and mopping floors throughout the centres
- Wiping and sanitizing countertops, tables and other frequently touched surfaces
- Cleaning kitchen and staff-area surfaces as required
- Spot cleaning doors, walls and windows as needed
- Restocking bathroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towel and soap
- Ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored after use
- Reporting any maintenance, safety or supply concerns to the supervisor
- Travelling between the two child care centre locations during each shift
- Completing other basic cleaning duties as required

Qualifications We are looking for someone who:

- Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness




- Has good attention to detail
- Can safely use standard cleaning products and equipment provided.
- Is physically able to perform cleaning duties, including bending, lifting, sweeping and mopping
- Is able to reliably travel between the two child care centre locations
- Previous commercial or facility cleaning experience is an asset but not required

Because this position involves working in child care facilities, the successful applicant will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.

Schedule & Compensation

- Monday to Friday
- 4:30–7:00 PM
- 2.5 hours per day / 12.5 hours per week
- $20.00 per hour
- Approximately $250 per week before deductions
- The shift begins at one child care centre and continues at the second location
