Facility Cleaner – Dog Care Facility

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Facility Cleaner to help maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout our dog care facility.

This is a hands-on, physically active position. Applicants must be comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes and must not be afraid of animal-related messes, including feces, urine, vomit, mud, and dog hair.

Responsibilities

- Clean and disinfect kennels, crates, pens, floors, walls, and common areas
- Clean up animal-related messes as needed
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and complete routine deep-cleaning tasks
- Wash and disinfect food and water dishes
- Complete laundry and maintain clean bedding and towels
- Empty garbage and maintain waste areas
- Restock and organize cleaning supplies
- Follow established cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitation protocols
- Prepare and use cleaning products according to proper instructions and dilution ratios
- Follow procedures carefully to prevent cross-contamination
- Complete cleaning checklists and assigned tasks accurately
- Report sanitation, safety, equipment, or supply concerns to management

Requirements

Applicants must:

- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Have strong attention to detail
- Be able to follow written and verbal procedures accurately




- Understand the importance of proper sanitation in an animal care environment
- Be comfortable working around dogs
- Be comfortable with animal-related messes
- Have reliable transportation
- Be physically capable of being on their feet and mobile for most of the shift
- Be able to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Be able to safely lift and carry up to approximately 50 lbs
- Be willing to work indoors and outdoors as required
- Have flexible availability

Schedule The majority of shifts will be weekdays, with some weekend shifts required. Applicants must also be willing and available to work holidays as needed. Hours and shift times may vary depending on operational requirements.

Previous cleaning, kennel, veterinary, animal care, or sanitation experience is an asset but not required.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing a job properly, follows procedures consistently, and understands that cleanliness and sanitation directly affect the health and safety of the dogs in our care.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
