FIELD OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Barry Enterprises Protection & Security Services is seeking a motivated, experienced, and highly accountable Field Operations Supervisor to oversee our security personnel and client sites throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.

The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that every site is properly staffed, every agent is prepared and performing to company standards, and every client receives consistent, professional service.

This is a hands-on operational leadership position. The successful candidate must be prepared to work in the field, respond to emergencies, manage last-minute staffing issues, and personally cover a site when no other qualified agent is available. No client site may ever be left uncovered.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, professional, and capable of making sound decisions under pressure. You must take ownership of field operations, communicate proactively, and address problems before they escalate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead by example and serve as a professional role model for all field personnel.
- Oversee daily and nightly field operations across all assigned client sites.
- Ensure every scheduled shift is filled and that no client site is ever left uncovered.
- Respond immediately to call-outs, no-shows, late arrivals, emergencies, alarm calls, and urgent operational matters.
- Find qualified replacement coverage for call-outs and personally cover the shift when another suitable agent cannot be secured.
- Remain available outside regular business hours, including evenings, overnight periods, weekends, and holidays, when operationally required.
- Conduct regular mobile patrols, site visits, spot checks, and field-level site assessments.
- Complete head-to-toe uniform and equipment inspections.
- Confirm that agents arrive on time, in full uniform, properly equipped, and prepared to perform their duties.
- Monitor agent attendance, conduct, performance, appearance, communication, and compliance with company policies.
- Learn the duties, post orders, risks, and client expectations for every assigned site.
- Attend recent and temporary sites to meet client representatives, receive instructions, document expectations, and brief incoming personnel.
- Review daily activity reports, incident reports, patrol records, and shift documentation for accuracy, quality, and timely submission.
- Ensure all shift reports are completed and submitted within 30 minutes of the end of each shift.
- Coach, train, and retrain agents who do not meet company or client expectations.
- Document performance concerns and escalate repeated or serious issues to management.

- Address client concerns professionally and promptly while keeping management informed.
- Maintain solid relationships with clients, security personnel, management, and operational partners.
- Provide clear and timely updates regarding staffing, incidents, client concerns, disciplinary matters, fleet requirements, equipment shortages, and training needs.
- Maintain a detailed operational log of completed tasks, current priorities, outstanding concerns, and upcoming requirements.
- Complete accurate shift summaries and management handover reports.
- Assist with scheduling, deployment, run sheets, site instructions, and emergency staffing requirements.
- Ensure operational changes are updated in the scheduling system and communicated to the affected agent, client, and management team.
- Conduct proper handovers with other field supervisors and management personnel to ensure continuity between shifts.
- Protect confidential company, employee, and client information.
- Follow the established chain of command and immediately escalate serious incidents or matters requiring executive attention.
- Demonstrate complete ownership of assigned responsibilities without requiring constant supervision or repeated follow-up.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Maintain reliable staffing and continuous site coverage.
- Respond promptly to operational calls, messages, and emergencies.
- Communicate proactively rather than waiting for management to request updates.
- Complete inspections, reports, follow-ups, and corrective actions within established timelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all site visits, incidents, performance issues, and client concerns.
- Hold agents accountable while treating them professionally and respectfully.
- Protect client relationships through consistent service delivery and immediate problem resolution.
- Take initiative, adapt to changing operational conditions, and remain solution-focused.
- Demonstrate discipline, ownership, professionalism, and execution in every aspect of the role.

- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and employees.
- Solid understanding of confidentiality, professionalism, and workplace accountability.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule and respond to operational emergencies outside regular business hours.
- Ability and willingness to work security shifts personally when emergency coverage cannot be secured.

- Performance evaluations and professional coaching.
- Opportunities for advancement into senior operations management.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a field leader who understands that supervision is more than holding a title. It means answering the phone, supporting the team, protecting client relationships, making decisions, solving problems, and stepping in when the operation requires it.

If you require constant direction, are unavailable during operational emergencies, or are unwilling to personally support site coverage when necessary, this position will not be the right fit.

If you take pride in leading from the front, holding yourself and others accountable, and delivering professional security services at a high standard, we encourage you to apply.

Barry Enterprises Protection & Security Services is committed to professionalism, accountability, operational excellence, and protecting the standard.
