Position Overview

Avolta is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Student Intern to join our team as part of a co-op program. This internship is structured as an educational and experiential learning opportunity, designed for students passionate about finance and accounting who wish to gain applied knowledge in a skilled setting.

The internship provides training and learning experiences comparable to those found in post-secondary programs, with an emphasis on skill development and knowledge transfer rather than organizational benefit. Interns will work under the close supervision of experienced professionals, ensuring that mentorship and support remain central throughout the placement. Please note that this is an unpaid,



pro bono opportunity, intended strictly for students seeking co-op credit and academic enrichment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate financial data entry and record-keeping.

Participate in financial analysis and variance reporting.

Contribute to the documentation and presentation of financial findings and results.

Support the team in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.

Participate in team meetings and discussions to share ideas and insights.

Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all tasks and interactions.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Basic understanding of financial management and accounting principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

High level of responsibility, maturity, and a willingness to learn.

Must be eligible to receive co-op credit through your academic institution.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).

Interest in the technology, security, or automotive industries.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial reporting standards.
