We have opening at our Prince George operation for a Permanent Full-Time, Fire Alarm Technician (NOC: 22311) . As our Fire Alarm Technician, they will be responsible for a wide variety of in-field fire services such as installing, inspecting, maintaining, modifying, programming, and servicing fire alarm and fire protection systems. Racking up panels, running wiring / cabling, installing devices and conduit

- Working with Emergency Lighting, and Monitoring Systems
- Evaluating plans, customer requests, code, and non-conformance issues to determine specific solutions and recommendations for customers and management
- Trouble shooting - conducting investigations of various fire alarm, fire suppression and sprinkler systems troubles and concerns




- Preparing stock materials for daily execution of assigned work orders and optimizing material utilization
- Mentoring other team members including apprentices and field service labour
- Ability to safely execute high quality work on-time Professional and customer service focused mindset Knowledge of relevant fire codes and standards Completed training in various fire alarm systems (e.g. Siemens, Autocall, Simplex, Edwards and Notifier) would be an asset. Ability to travel to and work out of remote client sites. Overtime may be necessary
- A minimum of 2+ years’ field experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems across various industries College/ Trade level education in Electronics or Fire Protection Technology, along with applicable fire service certifications, jurisdictional regulatory permits, and/or valid CFAA and ASTTBC would be preferred. Work hours are 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 4:30pm. On-call, overtime and evening/weekend work is sometimes required.
