Role Overview

Black Maple Trading is looking for a hands-on Floor Manager to oversee daily production, inventory, warehouse, and shipping operations. The role is responsible for ensuring orders move efficiently from receiving through production, fulfillment, and shipment while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Production

· Manage daily production workflow and prioritize orders based on deadlines.

· Coordinate DTG, DTF, heat press, vinyl, and other production processes.

· Assign staff and resources across production stations.

· Monitor production pace, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues.

· Maintain production quality and minimize errors and rework.

Inventory & Warehouse

· Oversee receiving, organization, and movement of inventory.

· Ensure materials and blanks are available for production.

· Maintain an organized warehouse and accurate inventory practices.

· Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies or shortages.

Shipping & Fulfillment

· Oversee picking, packing, and shipping operations.

· Ensure completed orders move to shipping quickly and accurately.

· Monitor shipping backlog and prioritize urgent orders.

· Reduce fulfillment errors and delays.

Team Management

· Supervise and coordinate production, warehouse, and shipping staff.

· Set daily priorities and productivity expectations.

· Train, coach, and hold team members accountable.

· Support scheduling, performance management, and hiring when required.





Operations & Improvement

· Maintain a safe, organized, and productive floor.

· Monitor production output, order turnaround, quality, inventory accuracy, and shipping performance.

· Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.

· Communicate operational issues and solutions to management.

Requirements

· Experience in production, warehouse, fulfillment, apparel, or a similar environment.

· Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

· Robust attention to detail and accountability.

· Experience with apparel production, DTG/DTF, heat press, or e-commerce fulfillment is an asset.

· Orders are produced and shipped on time.

· Production and shipping backlogs remain under control.

· Inventory is organized and accurate.

· Quality issues and rework are minimized.

· Staff are productive, accountable, and clear on priorities.

· The production floor operates safely, efficiently, and consistently.

Working Management Role: The Floor Manager is expected to lead from the floor and participate directly in production or fulfillment when required. The position is designed as a pathway toward broader Floor Production Manager responsibilities.

Pay: $16.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
