About The Acadia Community Association The Acadia Community Association (ACA) is a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization dedicated to building a connected, active, and welcoming neighbourhood in southeast Calgary. For decades, the ACA has supported community programs, recreation, events, and local initiatives that bring people together across all ages and stages of life.
At the heart of our work is the Acadia Recreation Complex (ARC) - a multi-use community facility that hosts sports, programs, rentals, and events seven days a week. But the ARC is more than a building. It is a community hub driven by connection, service, and continuous improvement.

About the Role
We are hiring Food & Service Attendants to support our growing food service operations.
This is an active, fast-paced role that involves preparing and cooking menu items, serving guests, and supporting lounge orders and events. You'll be responsible for producing food that looks good, tastes good, and reflects care - even during busy periods.
We're looking for team members who are comfortable working with food, can multitask under pressure, and take pride in maintaining quality and presentation. Success in this role comes from begin adaptable, organized, and able to move efficiently between cooking, service, and guest support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Serve guests professionally and efficiently during both quiet and peak periods
- Manage multiple food orders while maintaining accuracy at the POS
- Plate and present food in a way that reflects care and attention to detail
- Keep prep areas, service counters, and equipment clean, stocked, and organized throughout each shift
- Anticipate supply needs and assist with restocking
- Support lounge service, events, and tournaments as needed
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times
- Represent the ACA professionally and follow all policies related to conduct and cash handling
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred
- Comfortable preparing and cooking menu items independently
- Food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong multitasking skills in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Evening and weekend availability

Compensation
- $15 - $19 per hour, including tips, depending on experience
