Ontario Truss & Wall (OTW) is a locally operated, top quality Truss and Wall Designer and Manufacturer. Founded in 1982, OTW has been a staple in the local construction industry for over 35 years. Quality, Design and Precision has allowed OTW to efficiently grow year over year, which requires a growing team. The current chance at OTW is for a forklift operator/yard order picker.

The successful candidates will have knowledge of lumber, and the safe and proper operation of a forklift, will be hardworking, self-motivated and punctual. These candidates will be responsible for the collecting and building of lumber packages, floor products, loading and unloading lumber trucks, and assisting other departments as required.

Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including all health and safety policies.
- Responsible for working and operating equipment in a safe and productive manner.
- Keeping work area orderly and clean.




- Responsible for maintaining and upgrading skills as required by management to maintain job proficiency and safety.
- Responsible for assisting and co-operating with all departments to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
- Responsible for notifying management of any unsafe situation arising or occurring in the performance of duties.
- Responsible for supervising and giving instructions to personnel assigned to his work group to maintain safety, quality and efficiency.
- Assist in training and integrating new employees into company policies, procedures and job duties.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management from time to time.

Qualifications:
- Experience with Truss/Wood Working operation is considered an asset but not required
- Works well with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Organizational skills and Attention to Detail
- Flexible to support where needed
- Valid drivers license
- Strong work ethic and positive Team attitude
- Minimum 1 year forklift experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.50-$23.50 per hour
