What You'll Do

- Help patients select frames based on their pe118rsonal style, lifestyle, and vision needs.
- Educate patients on lens options and assist with eyewear recommendations.
- Take accurate optical measurements.
- Dispense eyewear and perform frame adjustments and repairs.
- Process eyewear and lens orders.
- Process insurance claims and patient payments.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing frame gallery.
- Answer phones and schedule patient appointments.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience.
- Travel between our Simcoe, Port Dover, and Waterford locations as required.

Who You Are We're looking for someone who:

- Has an eye for fashion and enjoys helping people find their perfect look.
- Is friendly, confident, and comfortable communicating with patients.
- Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Is a natural problem solver and quick learner.
- Is comfortable with computers and learning new systems.
- Can multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Is reliable, professional, and eager to learn.




- Has previous customer service or sales experience; optical experience is considered an asset.

Qualifications

- Previous optometry or optical experience is an asset but not required.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
- High school diploma/Secondary School education required.
- Successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Must be able to reliably travel between clinic locations.
- Must be available to work Wednesday evenings and every third Saturday as part of the clinic rotation.

Position Details

- Full-time – 1-year contract
- Full-time hours throughout the contract, with the prospect to remain full-time afterward.
- Wednesday evening availability required.
- Every third Saturday required.
- Travel between Norfolk Family Eye Care locations required.
- Starting wage of $18.25/hour, with the opportunity to increase to $18.50/hour following probation (3 months).
