Job Overview

We are looking for a dependable team member who brings meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and a genuine willingness to learn and adapt. In this role, you will work closely with our dentists during clinical procedures, ensure strict adherence to infection control standards, and manage daily operational upkeep and basic computer entry.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Chairside Assisting

- Proficiently assist the dentist in general and specialty clinical procedures, with robust emphasis on Restorative (restorations, crowns) and Endodontic (root canal therapy) procedures.
- Anticipate clinical needs, manage isolation/suction, and ensure smooth four-handed dentistry.
- Display patient radiographs and capture digital Bitewings, Periapicals (PA), and Panoramic images efficiently.

Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) & Office Maintenance

- Maintain strict compliance with RCDSO Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) standards.
- Package, sterilize, and decontaminate clinical instruments; log autoclave maintenance and biological spore testing.
- Prepare, breakdown, and thoroughly sanitize operatories between patients following standard protocols.
- Keep the clinic, sterilization area, and inventory storage clean, organized, and tidy at all times.

Computer & Administrative Competence

- Demonstrate basic computer competency, accurate typing skills, and familiarity with digital charting or practice management software.




- Accurately record patient notes, treatment logs, and procedure updates into digital patient records in real time.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on chairside dental assisting experience in a clinical practice setting.
- Clinical Expertise: Proven proficiency in Restorative and Endodontic dental procedures.
- Certifications:
- Level 1 or Level 2 Intra-Oral Dental Assisting Diploma / Certificate.
- Valid HARP (Healing Arts Radiation Protection) certification.
- CPR / First Aid certification.
- Core Competencies:
- Basic Computer & Typing Skills: Comfortable navigating dental software and entering clinical details efficiently.
- IPAC Expertise: Thorough understanding of sterilization protocols and health regulations.
- Key Soft Skills: High reliability, strong attention to detail, proactive organizational habits, and a positive, growth-oriented mindset.
