Serving Hands Senior Care is a locally owned, family-operated home care agency proudly serving Edmonton, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County, and surrounding communities since 2016.

We are currently hiring Health Care Aides (HCAs) for awake overnight in-home care.

These are awake overnight shifts. Care providers must remain awake, alert, and responsive for the entire scheduled shift. These are not sleep shifts.

Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities: Depending on the client's individual care plan, responsibilities may include:
- Remain awake, alert, and responsive throughout the overnight shift
- Assist with personal care and Activities of Daily Living
- Provide toileting and continence support
- Support mobility, transfers, repositioning, and comfort
- Provide dementia support, reassurance, and redirection
- Provide medication reminders within HCA scope
- Monitor and document changes in client condition or behaviour
- Communicate concerns promptly to the office and nursing team
- Provide palliative or end-of-life support within HCA scope
- Complete light care-related household tasks as required

Requirements:
- Currently registered with CLHA as a Health Care Aide
- Active HCA practice permit in good standing
- Current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- Strong English communication skills




- Physically able to assist with mobility and transfers
- Comfortable working independently overnight
- Able to remain awake and attentive for the full shift
- Reliable, organized, and compassionate

Availability We are specifically looking for HCAs with regular overnight availability.

- Whether they are looking for full-time, part-time, or casual hours
- Which communities they are willing to travel to
